I appreciate so much when she uses this forum to confide in me about life infractions. I have a tendency to overreact so the thing I appreciate most is the time that I have to plan my response after reading the journal. We write our responses and slip it back and forth under each other’s pillow. I’m hopeful that by creating a non-confrontational method of communication now means that I can continue to be her ally throughout this next season of her life. Even with little kids, sometimes being that ally is all they need.
